Caglar Orhan ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Packolist mobile app and website.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Data: Name, email address, and profile photo when authenticating via Google Sign-In.
• Travel & Packing Data: Trip destinations, dates, checklist items, custom bag names, weight metrics, and collaborative space interactions.
• Camera & Item Photos: Photos attached to packing items (when permission is granted). Photos are encoded locally on-device and uploaded to secure cloud storage (Amazon S3 / Google Firebase) to enable multi-device sync and collaborative packing views.
• Location Data: Approximate GPS coordinates (when permission is granted) used exclusively to fetch localized weather forecasts and regional packing alerts. Location data is never stored permanently or sold.
• Technical Telemetry: Anonymized crash logs and device metrics used solely to improve app stability.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to generate personalized packing lists and smart AI recommendations via Google Gemini API, synchronize lists across devices and shared collaborative spaces using Firebase, provide weather alerts, and maintain app performance.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties or advertisers under any circumstances.

• Google Firebase / Firestore: Secure cloud database powering real-time synchronization under TLS encryption.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS S3): Secure object storage used to host item photo attachments and sync them across your devices and collaborative spaces.
• Google Gemini API: Anonymized trip parameters are processed to produce packing suggestions; personal account identifiers and item photos are never sent to AI models for advertising profiling.

5. Data Security & Retention

We employ industry-standard security protocols, including TLS/SSL encryption for network traffic, AES-256 encryption at rest, and local encrypted database storage via Room. Cloud access is strictly enforced via Firebase Security Rules.

6. Your Data Rights & Control

• Export Data: You can export your trip checklists and data at any time.
• Manage Permissions: You can manage or revoke Location, Camera, and Microphone permissions in Android System Settings at any time.
• Account & Data Deletion: You may request complete account and cloud list deletion in App Settings or by emailing support@packolist.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Packolist is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
